Anyone who has ever heard a broadcast of a Georgia Bulldog game will recall the smooth professional broadcasting voice of the “12th man” Larry Munson. Many Georgians have grown up with Larry Munson’s voice, and it is something that family members young and old can all relate to and discuss. For over forty years Larry has been the voice of the “Bulldawgs” and he has been thrilling listeners with his unique style for 55 years.

Larry was working for the Atlanta Braves when he was offered the job with Georgia, and has been there since. The Georgia fans have forgiven him for his time as a broadcaster in Nashville, Tennessee for the Volunteers, and who can forget his call on a Herschel Walker ” He’s running people over!” at Tennessee in 1980?

His style is often imitated and easily recognizable to any that have heard his delivery.
A World War 2 veteran that loves to read, Larry also participates in many charitable and civic events.

Fishing is another passion of Larry’s when he is not reading or reviewing movies with his weekly book club, and he even hosted a fishing television show while he worked for Vanderbilt University, where he called Basketball and football games for the Commodores.
