Let’s face it: for a football hungry school like the University of Georgia, a 6-7 is not going to cut it. It’s not like it was dubbed a “rebuilding” year; the team did start out at 23. The fact is, you can either look at the 2010 season as one that you want to forget, or one that you want to build on. When the Bulldogs started at 1-4 things didn’t exactly look great for the Dawgs. The good news is that Mark Richt was able to rite the ship, so to say, and finish the regular season on a 5-2 run, including an overtime loss against Florida, and holding their own against 2 Auburn.

In truth, this is a make or break year for Richt. If he doesn’t lead the Bulldogs to the SEC title this year, he may get his walking papers. The good news for Bulldogs fan’s is that you will be able to get a good idea what type of year it’s going to be for the Bulldogs in the first two games. With a home game against Boise State and tough game against South Carolina, a 2-0 or a 0-2 mark should allow you to see what SEC life will be like for the Bulldogs.
